Size: Body length ~10mm
Small spider found in house. Parents suspect it might have bitten their infant child. Edge of graph paper with 1/4 inch (6.35mm) squares. Even if identified to the family or genus that would be helpful

Moved
Moved from Ground Spiders. From Rod Crawford: I'd strongly advise these parents to give up the thought that their child has a spider bite, and if the symptoms are serious, seek another explanation. You can always find a spider in any house, but that doesn't mean it's responsible for all human skin sores! Some conditions wrongly blamed on spider bites can be much more serious than any real spider bite.

Thank you.
I agree 100% with your comments and mission accomplished by having an outside expert tell them this. Over the years I know of only a couple people with confirmed spider bites which can become very ugly and hard to heal.

Ground Spider
Moved from ID Request.

Hi Dick, it's a ground spider (none of which are dangerous in the US).
