Misumenoides or Misumena? (with Sleepy Orange) - Misumenoides formosipes - female

Misumenoides or Misumena? (with Sleepy Orange) - Misumenoides formosipes - Female
Athens, Clarke County, Georgia, USA
September 27, 2011
I think this is a Misumena and not a Misumenoides, but I'm really not sure. I certainly can't see the eyes well enough to even make a guess, and I'm not used to ID'ing arachnids. Can anyone help nail down this ID? Also, does anyone know what the flower is?

Moved
Moved from Crab Spiders.

The flowers on spicata are much smaller
We'll see if we can post one to frass.

Hi James!
The flower is one of the Lobelias, probably Lobelia puberula aka Downy lobelia.

Thanks, Carmen!
I think you're probably right, although I read that Palespike Lobelia (Lobelia spicata) can have blue flowers. The reason I wonder about it is that the stalk on the flower in my photo looks hairless, like Palespike, while the photos I find of Downy show small hairs.

Looks to be
Misumenoides formosipes, female
