Found several groups of these larvae in webbed enclosures..all on the same plant species.

Not an Ugly Nest
There were pairs and small groups of no more than five or so in each enclosure.
Any ideas on the host plant?
(I was thinking some type of milkweed species but the seed pods were long and thin.)
