Wrong.
Scott, you are quite correct that this is a female in the family Megachilidae (though perhaps not the genus Megachile). You can clearly see from your images that she collects pollen on the underside of her abdomen. In North America, at least, ONLY Megachilidae do this. The genus may be Heriades.
