We found these eating the leaves of our English Walnut tree.

The Balabans told you what they are :)
They moved your pic from "Butterflies and Moths" to the proper species page: these are the caterpillars of the Red-humped Caterpillar Moth (Schizura concinna). You can always tell where an image is by looking at the string of terms directly above it.
