Adam, I found that this belongs to tribe Homalotini, but the guide is divided even further to subtribe, and I can't find which one it belongs in. It gets confusing with so many levels.

Hi Tom, This genus belongs
Hi Tom,

This genus belongs in Gyrophaenina, it is closely related to Gyrophaena and was included in it at one time,

for the future, [i] to find out what belongs where pls refer to the classif. overview on the family page that includes all the known NA genera, [ii] pls report any new beetle/bug genera [to me directly or on(1)]: we have to keep our wish lists updated
also, feel free to make pages wherever within the tree (even under Arthropoda :) and not to waste time on finding out the exact position: i'll take care of the taxonomic subtleties and move the page where it belongs

I forgot that the entire taxonomic list was on the family page. Someone did a lot of work putting it there, so I'll be sure to use it next time. And I'll post any new additions on the Coleoptera wish list.
