Long Thin Centipede - Strigamia bidens

Long Thin Centipede - Strigamia bidens
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
October 8, 2011
Size: 9 cm
I spotted this guy above my door, way up on the brick there, moving non-stop, making it hard to capture "on film". The longest skinny centipede I've ever seen! I did manage to stick a ruler up next to it when it was relatively straight.

Great!
Thank you - nice to have an ID for it. :)

Strigamia bidens
Very similar to S. bothriopus, but longer and with more legs (>65) as you noticed.

Thanks
for counting. ;)
