Beachcomber - Pardosa lapidicina - male

Beachcomber - Pardosa lapidicina - Male
Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
August 14, 2004
Locally common, and very fast over stones. 7mm. Females slightly larger and lighter in shade.

Identity?
Tom, Jeff Hollenbeck feels that these three seem a better fit to the genus Arctosa. Any reason not to move them to that genus? Should we clarify the characteristics of the two genera and their differences somewhere in the guide pages?

By all means
Not sure of characteristic differentiation. Perhaps some Arctosas are mottled such as the specimens shown here. Perhaps Pardosas lacks this mottled appearance.
