Strange bug - parasite looks like a spec of dirt

Strange bug - parasite looks like a spec of dirt
JACKSON, AMADOR County, California, USA
October 11, 2011
Size: about 1/16 a crumb
I was shocked to see this face when I took the shot. It has pinchers which means it bites. Is it a bed bug? I thought this was a crumb or a tiny clump of dust on my bed. then it moved. I then thought it was a tiny spider hidden under a clump of babies. so I put my finger there and it climbed right onto it and it changes directions very quickly. I could not see anything even with a magnifying lens so I took a macro and cropped in. I wish I had a closer image. What is this thing? I have never seen anything like it.

It looks like it has things embedded on it like a parasite egg and other weird textures.

Not a parasite
This looks like the larva of a lacewing, which is a ferocious predator of smaller bugs. Although their bites can be quite painful, they only very rarely bite humans.

The tendency to put junk on their backs to hide under is fairly common, and we have unidentified ones grouped on their own page.

thank you. I will check them
thank you. I will check them out. So it is carrying a bunch of garbage on its back. Very interesting.

Pretty Incredible
and humorous. I've seen them loaded so high, they wobbled almost to the point of "turning over."
