Buprespid - Dicerca obscura
Inn at Afton, Rockfish Gap, Nelson County, Virginia, USA

A beautiful beetle, maybe 3/4", lying out on a windowsill. I've not seen many buprespids in my life but surely that's what it is. Rather muted coloration at a glance, but bright metallic bits here and there when examined closely.
