Dragonfly in bottomland hardwood forest -
Macromia illinoiensis
Camp Whispering Pines, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, USA
October 1, 2011
Overexposed, but perhaps enough is there for an ID. I took a faint stab at it and came up with Libellulidae, but got no further.

Bottomland dragonfly
It looks like a Cruiser, though I couldn't tell you which one.
