Dragonfly in bottomland hardwood forest - Macromia illinoiensis

Dragonfly in bottomland hardwood forest - Macromia illinoiensis
Camp Whispering Pines, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, USA
October 1, 2011
Overexposed, but perhaps enough is there for an ID. I took a faint stab at it and came up with Libellulidae, but got no further.

Moved
Moved from Dragonflies.

Georgia
Looks like Georgia River Cruiser (Macromia illinoiensis georgina).

Bottomland dragonfly
It looks like a Cruiser, though I couldn't tell you which one.
