Peter, it looks like the vial was mislabeled. I took a picture of a Agonum retractum on 10-12-11, but didn't post it. Not sure if this one is in another vial with the wrong label, or was misplaced.

based on my microscopic examination of the mailed specimen given "BG 587389" which now remains a voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. Thanks Tom.
Caution: Not quite sure if your image corresponds exactly to the mailed specimen as it measured 6.5 mm body length. Further suspicion: BG # 587390 from same collection event is completely discrepant.
