G. flavus
99% sure. I've started looking at a lot of these from Maine and they all match this appearance and the number of 55 pairs of legs, with the darker head and very pale body. A European introduction.

correction: Geophilus sp.
Now that I look at the shape of the antennae this is NOT Schendyla (glad I left some uncertainty there!).
It belongs to the genus Geophilus, to get a more specific ID I would need to have the specimen under a scope.

Schendyla ? Maybe ...
The ones that look like this are almost always Schendyla nemorensis, a very common but tiny centipede in our area, as a result it doesn't get photographed too often. Unfortunately for a positive ID I need to know whether it has a tarsal claw on the last pair of legs, which requires a close-up shot of this area.
