Camponotus sp. How big
Camponotus sp. How big were these?

Comparison Image Added
If the beetle to the right of it is Hydrobius fuscipes and it measures about 8 mm then this should be around 14 mm.

Feel free to frass images.

Thanks
Then this would be one of the subgenus Camponotus, but males are tricky, so I can't distinguish among pennsylvanicus, novaeboracensis, chromaiodes.
