Yes.
Your identification is correct, and the image is fabulous:-) There are now several "new" species of Photuris, at least some of which are probably awaiting description. Flash patterns (the behavior, not markings on the insect itself) are apparently the only way to distinguish some species.

Thanks for the verification and ID. Looks like I'll have to study these guys some more. I have a close up shot of the head that I am not sure if I should post here.
