Skippers are tricky
but I'm pretty sure you have two different species here, not one individual - the second is a spread-wing skipper such as Erynnis, which holds its wings flat instead of angled like this one. Just tag them and unlink if this is the case.

You said it!
Skippers (or Skip-its, as I usually call them), are tough. Do you have other shots of this one that show the underside of the wings? Eufala is a southern species and only a rare stray to WI. I might start with Crossline (Polites origines) or Tawny-edged skippers (P. themistocles), the Pocohontas form of Hobomok Skipper (Poanes hobomok), or perhaps a female Mulberry Wing (Poanes massasoit). Or you can just skip-it.
Good luck!
