Ps- something - Ectopsocus briggsi
Alameda County, California, USA
October 20, 2011
Size: 2.1 mm bl
This insect--psyllid? psocid?--was inside a dry garbanzo-bean pod on the plant when I opened the pod (possibly it entered the pod at that time). The pod also contained many spherical, light-colored, dry-looking frass pellets, a live spider with a web, and no bean.
