Going through my archives just now I ran across this scene - that's quite a haul for that spider! I know it's not the best detail, but is it possible to ID it? Entire beetle left in for size comparison.

I'm not sure. I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. Maybe Family Amaurobiidae - Hacklemesh Weaver?

I think you're right!

Looking through the photos there, the abdominal patterns certainly match, and then I found this photo which shows the same eye arrangement and big chelicerae:
