Slender Bluet - Enallagma traviatum

Slender Bluet - Enallagma traviatum
Governor Dodge State Park (Pine Cliff State Natural Area), Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA
June 19, 2006
Found on a fern leaf on a hillside just above a man-made lake. The coloration is almost a blue-grey. Photo was taken late morning. There were many dragonflies around, but I did not see any other damsels at the time.

Wow! This is interesting.
We're guessing that the color is due to the cool of the evening or maybe a newly eclosed "teneral" animal. So we changed it all to blue in our minds and came up with Slender Bluet. Check out the perfect description of your animal on Patrick's image at

Slender Bluet
It does seem to fit.
