Tussock of some sort.

We're guessing that with those deep lobes
we're looking at a Sycamore leaf, so we'll suggest the Sycamore Tussock, Halysidota harrisii. Images in the guide here

 
YAY!
One of my favorite kinds of caterpillars! I've never seen the white ones alot though where I live but the ones I mostly see are yellow ones with the same orange hairs. Are these color variants?
