Harpalus sp.? Canaan Valley NWR - Harpalus caliginosus
Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Tucker County, West Virginia, USA
August 3, 2009
Size: 22mm
This specimen was labeled as Dicaelus sp. But it has no notch in the labrum. I am guessing it might be Harpalus sp.? It was collected at our visitor center, probably attracted to the lights, and we are surrounded by boggy wetlands. Thanks for any advice!
