Looks like this beetle has expanded its range in NA from Nova Scotia to the states. Now to find it in other locations. Thanks for all the help getting this one identified!

i wonder if more specimens will turn out in UNH and other local collections; i would guess that if this thing occurs in VT, it's even more likely to occur in the coastal states
