Noctuidae: Autographa bimaculata? - Autographa precationis

Noctuidae: Autographa bimaculata? - Autographa precationis
Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA
October 27, 2011
Size: Length ~ 2 cm
Hmmm...my first guess was that this specimen might be a Two-spotted Looper Moth (Hodges #8911), but according to the BG page this species is seldom seen after August. And so my second guess is that this may be an example of the Gray Looper Moth (Hodges #8895), which seems to occur through October at this latitude. (Overnight temperatures have been in the low 20s this week, so I'm quite surprised to see this moth--nothing but Fall Cankerworm and Bruce Spanworm Moths right now.) I'll present three images of this specimen here. The first is a right lateral view; the second is a left lateral view; and the third is a dorsal view. I've photographed five similar individuals in this area recently (see thumb photos below), and so I'm eager to get this moth identified. Thanks for any and all help! ;-)
