Alaus zunianus Casey, 1893

Identification
White markings on elytra are patchy and clumped, in contrast to A. oculatus which has smaller, more evenly dispersed white spots.
A. lusciosus is very similar but probably does not overlap in range. (E.G. Riley, pers. comm. to JSR, 2008)
