Xanthorhoe ferrugata - female

Xanthorhoe ferrugata - Female
Coldstream, Southern, British Columbia, Canada

I found this moth by the porch light the same morning that I found this one They look very similar except for the color.

Moved from Larentiinae.

Moved from ID Request.

They look like
Carpet moths, but I'm no expert. Try looking around in Genus Euphyia for starters.

Or maybe something like Xanthorhoe, I will stop guessing now. The AM line is smooth on yours, so disregard Euphyia, I think.

Thanks Roy!
That's a good start!
