Definitely a silphid larva
Looks like [yrl=http://bugguide.net/node/view/58166/bgimage]Necro*phila amer*icana[/url], but I am unaquainted with the larvae of the larger bur*ying-beetle-type silphids, so would hesitate to say for certain.
