I thought it was a modest sphinx, but I was wrong...it is a Twin-spotted Sphinx--Smerinthus jamaicensis...I found it on my dirty car the other night

Didn't you just post these recently? If so, we would point out that you can save yourself a lot of work in situations such as this.
