Perhaps a Cyrtopogon? Interestingly, we have had warmer days when I have *not* seen these flies.

Comantella sp., probably a ma
Comantella sp., probably a male. Definitely cold-weather flies -- only found late in the fall to very early in the spring. New genus for BugGuide ("Dasypogoninae").
