Identification
Labrum small with one tooth; pronotum coppery and hairy. Shoulder marking (humeral lunule) touches or nearly touches the middle band.
Range
Most of North America (LB‒AB to FL‒AZ)

Sand, gravel, or clay soil with sparse vegetation adjacent to streams and rivers.
Season
Spring and summer, but seldom seen in the hottest part of summer. Occasionally seen in early fall.
Life Cycle
Two year life cycle, with third instar larvae passing through the first winter, and adults the second.
