Tarache lagunae? - Tarache

Tarache lagunae? - Tarache
Casper, the Audubon Center at Garden Creek, Natrona County, Wyoming, USA
July 5, 2011
came to UV light
resembles an image at MPG but I can find no information on the species

Moved to genus
Moved from Tarache knowltoni.

I don't think knowltoni gets to the west side of the Rockies. The white mark near the apex seems too broad and the hindwing fringe is yellowish not white. I think abdominalis is more likely.

Tarache knowltoni - Hodges #9139
Moved from ID Request.

Nice addition to Bug Guide! Do you have more photos of this moth?
Thanks!

Tarache lagunae is found only in extreme southern California into Mexico and has orange-yellow hindwing.

Thank you
very much for the i.d., Mr. Heiman. And I'm sorry, this is the only image I got.
