Identification
Forewing:
Orange-brown ground color with the basal area of the inner margin edged in white.
Antemedial white bar along costa.
Postmedial white spot along costa.
Broken white line extending from tornus to near apex at the costa.
A patch of black scales in the median area extending from costa towards inner margin.

Identical to Cameraria jacintoensis but can be separated by the larval host. (link to photo below)

Most records of adults are from February to March; June; September to October. (3)
Food
Larval host is California black oak, Quercus kelloggii Newberry.
The non-native Q. suber has become a host.(1)
