Definitely Erynnis
Telling species apart in Erynnis is often very challenging, but I'm inclined to agree that this is probably a male Horace's.

Moved from Skippers.

Moved from ID Request.

Another Skipper
I believe you have a Northern Cloudy Wing, (Thorybes pylades).

.
I'm far from expert on which marks are important, but doesn't Northern Cloudy Wing have two sets of white marks near front edge of forewing rather than only one for Horace's?

It looks to me
more like Horace's Duskywing, E. horatius.

Horace's Duskywing
Thanks. Yes the less contrasty individuals on BugGuide images do look like it. And fringe matches better than my guess.

Erynnis
This is a duskywing, genus Erynnis. They're not especially easy to tell apart, and I'm not familiar with what you might have, so I'll leave the specific ID to someone else.

Thanks. Getting it to genus
Thanks. Getting it to genus reduces the possibilities by 99+% from where I was at "Skipper." Looking both at BugGuide and print guides, my inexpert eye is inclined toward Zarucco Duskywing - Erynnis zarucco. Guides put the location well inside range.
