As a crow flies, this was about 40 miles or so from the Mexican Border, just north of Big Wells, Texas.

Moved from ID Request. Thanks again. This will be the first image of this species for Bugguide. It's also the first image on the web that I know of. If you took more angles of the spider, feel free to post them.
