Harpalus fulgens - Trichotichnus fulgens - Pulaski County, Kentucky, USA May 27, 2011 Size: 6 mm
An interesting species that has an Amara-like habitus. This individual was tricky to identify, as it lacks apical dorsal punctures (my other specimen of this species, a male from Indiana, has just one of these punctures). Still, it matches well in other characters (size, pale legs, abbreviated scutellar striae, punctiform frontal fovae).
