on a plant next to sagebrush, Atrisimia tridentata. elevation 8820 feet. In a sagebrush scrub plant community with very short growing season of 25 to 50 days. the temperature was in the mid 60's degrees Fahrenheit.

Coccinella monticola
The Latin name means "mountain-dwelling" - Alpine County at 8820 feet is a very appropriate place for it!
