Agonum melanarium Dejean
Agreed, this is Agonum melanarium Dejean. Lindroth's melanarius group of Agonum is always very difficult to identify, even with the specimen in hand. However, the obtusely denticulate posterior angle of the pronotum is diagnostic here in identifying this as A. melanarium.
