Size: 1.5 mm
One of several flies to emerge from a spider egg sac I collected on 7/11/2011. The egg sac was something like this:

I guess
they aren't restricted to Mimetus egg sacs.

 
I knew I'd seen this guy somewhere before!
I sent Brian an email for his opinion, but it sure looks the same to me.

By the way, you've probably figured this out already, but your egg sac image above was moved because of this:

I'll eventually get around to posting the actual egg sac that spiderling came from, and we can compare. I think it was a little browner, with bluish undertones, but pretty similar.

... a species of Phalacrotophora? Brian will surely know....
