unkn beetle - Nemognatha nigripennis

unkn beetle - Nemognatha nigripennis
Sabino Canyon, Pima County, Arizona, USA
September 14, 2011
Can someone ID this beetle? Nemognatha maybe? Thanks

from J.D. Pinto: "This could be Nemognatha nigripennis.
"...September is about as late as the species is known to occur in Arizona. We would need to check hind tibial spurs to be sure however. The elytral divergence presumably is simply an individual trait."

Moved tentatively from Nemognathinae.

ANY other angles to add? Nemognatha is a good call.
Moved from ID Request.

Unfortunately,
no other shots.
