Gray Hairstreak - Strymon melinus - female

Gray Hairstreak - Strymon melinus - Female
Lory State Park, near Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
June 24, 2006

Odd coloring
All the spread wing gray hairstreak photos here and (the few) in Butterflies through Binoculars The West show dark gray wings. In the book, body colors are described as "Males have orange abdomens, females gray." Still, ID seems correct.

Another lovely image, Paul.

Thanks!
Thanks to you, Hannah and Eric, I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of finding things, moving images around, etc.
