Nacoleia charesalis (Walker, 1859) (Pyraloidea: Crambidae:Spilomelinae) is a medium-sized brown moth with a native range from the Southeast Asian tropics to northern Australia. It was first detected in southern Florida, USA, in 2012 and known to be spreading rapidly northward. It resembles some native North American Pyraustine species. This paper summarizes its current distribution, diagnostic characters and known behavior.
