One per post
Well, I think I'm going to take some tacks with me, and put a distinctive number or color on the back of these posts and see if I get more then one pattern per post.

I'm presently of the opinion that I've got a different pattern on each of these on every post I look at. I'm not quite sure how I'll accomplish showing in my photos when I get home as to what was taken where, but I have enough pattern variation in 60 feet of posts to show something. Who knows what, I'll let you knowledgeable folk figure that out! But at least I can collect data. Anything else you want me to do with these critters? They are in an area that I get to frequently.

Looking forward to see your collection
of different patterns. Pls, note that pigmentation pattern in specimens may vary for different reasons:
1. different instars may show different patterns; in other words the pattern may change while the specimen gets older
2. sexual differences
3. different subspecies
4. different species

If you can collect specimens you might want to send them to

The specimens can be preserved in 90% denaturated ethanol.
