Grape Rootworm - Neofidia lurida

Grape Rootworm - Neofidia lurida
Wyalusing State Park, Grant County, Wisconsin, USA
June 24, 2006
Size: Maybe 1/4 inch.
Sorry about the blurry quality of the image. It was the best one I could get due to the size and the way it was positioned in the plant. It looks like it may be some kind of weevil, but I've been unable to figure out which. The stripes on the back should help, but I didn't see anything similar.

Moved
Moved from Fidia.

Don't think so
Doesn't look like it has elbowed antenae, not sure what it is though.

Chrysomelidae.
This is a leaf beetle, in the genus Fidia, I believe.
