Size: about a centimeter
Found in the john. Putting in new bath and shower. Dehimidifier was going on in there and the room was closed. Is this a parasite or some kind of larvae?

Yes it is a Psychodidae larva
Yes it is a Psychodidae larvae and do not worry EVERY sink and drain has them. They are harmless...

Possibly a fly larva, subfamily Psychodinae, like this:

 
Relief.
Although I felt it was highly unlikely.... it is a little comforting to be validated in not believing this could be a parasite or some kind of intestinal worm. (You must be laughing your head off by now.) Short of some stomach issues as of late, the mind will be playing less tricks onward.
