Metallic Blue Lady Beetle - Curinus coeruleus

Metallic Blue Lady Beetle - Curinus coeruleus
Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida, USA
December 3, 2011
This is one of several insects that were inside a leaf shelter. As I was photographing it, it flew off.

images unlinked, as they do not represent the same individual

Difference in Coloring
Is the red marking here a reflection of something, or is this a different individual from your frontal image?

As for ID, the obvious guess is some kind of Lady Beetle, Family Coccinelidae, but I'll leave that for the experts.

Later edit: it looks a lot like Curinus coeruleus, though I'm not qualified to confirm:

And as for the shelter, it looks like the kind made by Sac Spiders, not something a beetle would make.

Still later edit: I see that =v= unlinked the images and moved this one to the guide while I was doing my last edit.
