Excellent series!
If you can add measurements of eggs and larvae, and update as they grow, that would be even more useful.

Well...
I can try, but to be honest I think i'm going to release them today. This container isn't exactlly air tight, I'm not sure if i can give them what they need to survive, and, also i'm worried that within an hour or two they are going to be all over this room..
The thought of 300 or so caters loose in our house does not amuse my wife!

Why not save just a few, release the rest, and give it a try.
As long as you provide them with food, they won't wander - and these ones are easy to feed.

I put some lettuce in there and they all mobbed it so apparentlly they are hungry. I will put a smaller peice and wait to get a few on it then transfer that to a safe container. I'll release the rest under a bush is the backyard... I'll try to take a photograph every two days of the others... Right now they are about 1.5 mm average length..
