Crambid on Tecomeria - Antigastra catalaunalis

Crambid on Tecomeria - Antigastra catalaunalis
Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
November 25, 2011
Size: 10 mm
This is a specimen from the same brood.

Not sure
There is only one DAN barcoded New World specimen at BOLD, sample CNCLEP00074884 from Mexico City, and it is separated from A. catalaunalis by 3%. I think that it and specimens from the southwest may be an undescribed species.

Any chance of getting this dissected and barcoded?

BTW - I added your adult live and pinned images to MPG. Thanks!

Antigastra in Arizona
These moths showed up en-mass in 2011, but I've not seen another since, so I think they migrated here from the south. I will see if I have the specimen somewhere.
