small Brown Beetle - Cymatodera aegra-complex

small Brown Beetle - Cymatodera aegra-complex
San Pedro River Valley area, SE of San Manuel, Pinal County, Arizona, USA
July 26, 2011
Size: approx 10 mm
Sonoran Desert area, many Creosote bushes nearby, comes to light at night, elev 2800 feet; I think this also is a Antlike Flower Beetle, but it looks different than most others around the thorax.

aegra group, possibly C. sobara Barr --det. J. Rifkind
his comment: "very difficult complex of species"

Moved from Cymatodera.

yeah sobara sounds familiar
tough group...after trying to ID them, you'll loose your sobar-ity.

Moved tentatively; looks nice, but...
Moved from ID Request.
