Carsia sororiata? - Carsia sororiata

Carsia sororiata? - Carsia sororiata
Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada
August 19, 2011
Carsia sororiata seems to be quite a variable species but I think that's what I photographed. Confirmation of this identification is appreciated!

Moved from Moths.

I've collected specimens very similar in pattern to this one in the Swan Hills, AB.

Looks good .... to me
The only moth i know that might look simliar, is a Xanthorhoe defensaria moth .... and they're only way out west. Besides, your specimen has the Carsia sororiata's "rusty" TM.
