5560 - Salobrena rubiginea
Identified by James Hayden, Florida State Collection of Arthropods, McGuire Center, to whom I sent the photograph. This is a West Indies species, possibly a stray to Florida, rarely encountered. Jim tells me there are a few specimens in the collection at Gainesville. He is checking to determine whether this name has become a synonym of Salobrena recurvata.

Salobrena
I appreciate your input on this moth, Bob. That explains why I was not able to ID it after considerable effort. I am curious to know if this is a stray or if there might be a breeding population at my location. I will be looking for others.
